As reported earlier in the week, Chris Rest of Lagwagon fame has joined No Use For A Name! To celebrate the occasion the band is doing a one off show in San Francisco at Thee Parkside on October 7th before heading to Japan. Tony Sly had this to say:
We are totally stoked to have Chris in the band. I have always thought he was a shredder, so when I found out he was available I called him right away. Itâs also kind of cool to get someone from one of our peer bands because we all sort of grew up doing the same things. Heâs very easy to get along with and I think he will add to our sound.

Whatâs up punks? Thanks for taking a couple of minutes out of your busy day to check out this song. Itâs about getting older and feeling more vulnerable, physically and emotionally, and about the self-imposed delusions people sometimes create to keep from experiencing that vulnerability. I feel like weâve written at least 20 songs about how hard it is for us humans to learn from our mistakes. This is yet another one. I guess we should get over it already.
I used to feel safe, oblivious to the mess I left in my wake. Now I try to give more than I take. But thereâs more at stake than the nights I spent awake. It turns out Iâve got a selfish streak, and I repeat the same mistakes.
Seconds, hours, minutes, days. I feel it slipping away.
Did I mention that Iâm fucking scared? I can feel the decay, but I canât say it caught me unawares. New bruises, new pills. Fate will not fight fair; the clock will not stand still. âAsk me why & Iâll spit in your eye.â Weâre all still ill.
Today I felt the time slipping away. Weâll push the fear out of the way.
Paint It Black embark on an East Coast run and head overseas, be sure not to miss them.
