The Real McKenzies, Shine Not Burn
This new acoustic 21 song full length from The Real McKenzies packs a powerful intimate punch. Shine Not Burn was recorded in August 2009 at Wild at Heart in Kreuzberg, Berlin and explores all the beauty of Scottish folk music at its best. Perhaps best known for their Scottish punk flare of dancing, drinking and playing their hearts out until the wee hours of the morning; this release shows their softer, more intimate and introspective side, while not losing any of their passion.
Brand New Lungs is a taste of what to expect off their upcoming fall full-length and the 7â is classic Utters! Brand New Lungs features two songs from their upcoming fall release and one exclusive to the 7â. Weâve pressed this 7â in two different colors, one you can grab from our mail order, the other will be available exclusively at the Swinginâ Utters shows. Take a peek at their Warped Tour dates, and recently announced U.S and European tour!
As most of you know, four days ago Fat Mike set up his own twitter account. Well, it took him all of two days to scoop us on a news story, post some incomplete artwork for an upcoming NOFX release, and set off various threads of misinformation in the blogosphere⦠talk about your classic backfire. So, now is probably a good time for us to step in and give you the straight dope.
On August 17th weâll be releasing *NOFX*âs The Longest EP, a collection of 30 EP tracks from 1987 to 2009, plus rarities, out of print stuff and previously unreleased outtakes. Instead of paying like $30 for the 5 EPâs, you can get em all on one CD for $10. You can scope the final artwork (including Melvin this time) below, which happens to be by the same dude that illustrated the cover of The Longest Line. In conjunction with this release the other EPâs will be going out of print. One other tidbit, the double lp will be a limited pressing! Get the original CDâs while you still canâ¦
