We have just posted all the tour dates and ticket links for the Northwestern leg of the Fat Tour 2008 featuring NOFX, No Use For a Name and American Steel! You might be looking at the list below and think “That’s a pretty short leg” but sometimes things with a short leg are completely killer like those freaky mountain goats or Rivers Cuomo. Besides, he got that shit fixed after the Blue Album and try telling me how somebody with normal, boring legs could write a song as good as “Say It Ain’t So.” We’re going to post the first mp3 from the upcoming No Use for a Name record next week to get you ready for the start of the first leg of the tour. We’re cooking up some cool road diaries, podcasts, videos and contests for the tour and we’ll let you know about those soon. Here’s the dates:
May 2nd Denver, CO - The Fillmore Auditorium May 3rd SLC, UT - In the Venue May 4th Missoula, MT - TBA May 6th Edmonton, Alberta - AgriCom - Hall B May 7th Calgary, Alberta - MacEwan Hall Ballroom May 9th Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom May 10th Seattle, WA - Showbox Sodo May 11th Portland, OR - Crystal Ballroom

Happy Super Tuesday! If your state is having their primary today then you better go vote. If not then I guess just do whatever the hell you usually do and call it “Tuesday”.
Build & Burn is the second full length release from Philadelphiaâs, The Loved Ones. The album was produced by Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Keinlen from the Bouncing Souls and features cameos from the Hold Steadyâs Franz Nicolay (piano, Hammond B3 organ, harmonica, accordion, saw) and Tad Kubler (guitar). The new record hints at Americana rock nâ roll with expanded instrumentation, plenty of backing vocals and a thematic concept based on the album title. The band will soon be filming a video for the song “The Bridge” but until then you can catch them on the first leg of their US tour on the East Coast or even at one of their after parties. In their 6th studio video update (below) the band is on a constant search for “The Boss” but they could have just asked us for El Hefe’s phone number and saved themselves some time.

We’re really sorry about the new NOFX live LP being delayed so we decided to put it on sale along with the next installment of the Fat Classic colored vinyl series, *Propagandhi*’s How To Clean Everything, on conflict-free gold vinyl! I don’t even want to hear your sorry excuse for not being signed up for the Fat newsletter to get exclusive comments like this from Prop singer, Chris Hannah, about this classic Fat release:
âThe best thing about this record was seeing Wayne Gretzky at the airport. Other than that it is notable only in that sales from this record paid for the security walls we put up around our mansions."
We also posted the official dates for the US Fat Tour 2008 featuring NOFX, NO USE FOR A NAME, AMERICAN STEEL and THE FLATLINERS and here’s some information about the shows…
After their globetrotting and general misadventures around the world, NOFX are home and they have just confirmed a proper U.S. tour. It kicks off on February 22nd at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL and stops in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, andâcue the trumpetsâTexas! After ten years of Warped Touring the Lone Star state, NOFX are going to play club shows in Houston, El Paso, Austin, and Dallas. The tour will feature No Use For A Name as main support, with Canadian youngsters, The Flatliners, opening the Southern leg of the tour. American Steel will take over for the second Northwestern leg (dates coming real soon). The third leg of the tour will be in the Northeast and at this point it is a total mystery. The fourth and final leg will be closer to home and god knows when this will happen.
Other tidbits: No Use For A Name just got back from Fort Collins, Colorado where they recorded a new record with the legendary Bill Stevenson at the Blasting Room. They will be performing some new songs on tour long before the full length drops. Also, after pissing everyone off by fading out the longest punk song ever on their new live CD, NOFX will be performing “The Decline” in itâs entirety in cities where they havenât played it beforeâ¦and if they are sober enough.
All you Southern belles, click here to check out the dates & get your tickets onlineâweâve even provided the links, mâladies! Everybody else, look sharp, more show news coming soon!

PS: We have 50 copies of *NOFX*’s The Longest Line on white vinyl that we have left over and you can buy those here.
Earlier this year NOFX set out to capture the essence of their live show, or maybe they were just looking for an excuse to get wasted, weâre not really sure. Regardless of their intentions, what resulted is their drunkest, funnest, best sounding recording ever with new versions of old songs and some rare songs too. This is about as close as you are going to get to seeing the band without having to go to the Warped Tour⦠wait a second, theyâre actually doing a US tour and itâs the 2008 Fat Tour! Thatâs right, NOFX are set to headline a Fat Tour early next year with No Use For a Name as main support! American Steel and The Flatliners will each open separate legs of the tour. Official press release, tour dates and ticket links coming soon!
