Today, we’re stoked to present the first new song from TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET’S fantastic new album, Stealing the Covers. The song is called “RoboCop Is A Halfbreed Sellout,” and you can take a listen over at Alternative Press. TBR’s brand new album will hit the streets on July 14th, and we’ll be launching our pre-order shortly. In the meantime, catch them on tour where they’ll be jumping continents all year long. Then, scope out what bass player Miguel Chen had to say about their cover song choice below:

Sprocket Nova was a band from our hometown of Laramie Wyoming. Their gimmick was they were all pissed off robots with names like Sony Danza, and they wore the shittiest robot costumes you’ve ever seen. It was basically grey sweat suits with sunglasses and cardboard hats; it was awesome! They were one of the first bands we decided to record for Stealing the Covers, and this song was the obvious choice. It’s about how Robo Cop is an asshole and a threat to the robot way of life. We hope you like it!!
